Hey everyone
I've just be re-watching some eps of VH and I want to know whether I am seeing things or not.
So ep 17 loves labour lost, the one where Murdoch gets ill because his, lets say lover, Chelsea died in what appears to have been a fishing (?) trip and comes back to haunt him.
Well has anyone else noticed that when Merrill and Marty are going through Murdochs office, right at the very begining of thier investigation when Merrill is bending over Murdoch's desk looking at some papers, Marty is in the background looking at a vase I think and walking off camera, but just before he does, I swear it looks backs an takes a sneeky galance at Merrills arse.
For those of you that are lost as to where in the ep I mean, pretty much straight after that Marty burps (off camera), and Merrill asks "what was that?", then marty comes back on camera, leans on the desk and says "me, must mean that the blood was off."
Has anyone else noticed this or am I just starting to go crazy and seeing things that don't exist? Was this ep the first obvious signs that Marty liekd Merrill?

Hi there,
I am glad you noticed it as well I also thought that this was the beginning of something interesting between the two of them.
By the way this is one my favorite episodes.

LOL Yes, I noticed that too... mainly because when Marty's on screen, I rarely, if ever, look at what any other character is doing. I think there were hints even earlier in the series that Marty was attracted to Merrill - he seemed fond of her a few episodes earlier in episode 12 "The Quivering", in that not quite as ascerbic as he had been toward the others and Merrill in particular to whom he's sympathetic. I think that may have been the point at which he began to let his guard down and look properly at the others and see them as, if not friends exactly, then at least not his rivals. 'Lissa.

Yeah I think you are right! Perhaps it even started in ep 6 (?) the lady is a vamp
when marty says 'Merrill be a a runaway, brings her up a whole new level in my book"
I think in the quivering ep, the focus is so much on Drew trying to help out Merrill that we are suppose to believe those two could become more than friends, and therefore blind sight us to the totally obvious fact that Merrill and Marty belong together...
Anyway one thing thats on my mind is whether it was in the script for Marty to check out Merrill's arse or whether Joris just threw that in...

LOL I wouldn't put it past him to have added that - Joris really is brilliant at those little character details that may or may not have been written. 'Lissa.

Just wanted to place some thoughts about the Professor, his love for Chelsea must have been extra ordinary to cause him to suffer those drowning symptoms and the overwhelming presence of her ghost exceptional.Their connection must have been very unique, and if I was a Vampire that is what I liked about Merrill her driven interest in finding out why Chelsea kept on returning to haunt the Professor.
