All of you inspired me to start reading this series and I just finished "Eclipse" and let me just say.....AWESOME! I have to admit that I was a little shocked at the focus on the the main human character and that this series wasn't as dark as a vamp novel usually is, but then I realized that it was meant for the teen PG-13 audience, and I gave a chance. I ended up really liking Stephenie Meyer's writing style. Read it if you get a chance.

Ok, now I really like all the characters, but sometimes Bella got on my very last nerve. I've known shy ppl that don't like the spot like, but the extent of this girls hatred for any attention on her and being given sincere gifts was ridiculous. I mean, I wanted to slap her! I found myself saying out load, "What are you? Completely insane?" And then there's the part of her and Edward's love. I really felt the emotion there, but sometimes it felt like she was a crack addict that was suffering from withdrawl and I just found it all to be unhealthy and obsessive. I myself had an amazing first love in highschool that I too felt I couldn't live without, but this gets a little insane in Book II. Maybe I just don't get it:P

The books are really good and chances are you won't be able to put them down:) If you find them, make sure to re-read the second one. The author says that people tend to miss a lot of important points the first time. I have no problem sending you the text files (two books in .txt and one for microsoft reader). But I understand if you decline....I love the smell of books:)

Now I'm reading the first book in Dutch.. In Dutch it's called 'Twilight: een levensgevaarlijke liefde'. It's such a fascinating story! I love it. Today I've read about 200 pages, lol.

I know! I was the same way! I couldn't put them down:)
I just didn't expect the books to be how they are. Usually the vamp books I pick up show the more monstrous side of vamps. This was a good change. I really thought Edward was going to kill her within the first 200 pages and was happy when he didn't:)
PS: Sorry Scanjet, we'll keep books and movies seperate:)

You're right, Twilight is not predicable at all! That's one the reasons I like Twilight so much. Today I'm going to lend the second book [in Dutch it's called 'Nieuwe Maan'] at the library! |edit| I still love it! So now I'm already reading Eclipse. I think I got a little bit addicted..

Most amazing book series created in my opinion. I really can NOT compare it to anything else as either there is nothing to compare it to or on the other hand I have not read enough books yet!
We shall see as I get older really!
