"About three things I was absolutely positive.
First, Edward was a vampire.
Second, there was a part of him - and I didn't know how dominant that part might be - that thirsted for my blood.
And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him." This one is for you vampire lovers lol I'm only half way through reading the first book ( Twilight XD) as I started last night and I have to say, if I hadn't had to go to work today I wouldn't have put it down and I probably would have spent all night reading! It's so fascinating and well written, I simply wish I didn't have anything else to do so that I could read and read and read (which is what I'm doing even in front of the computer... a girl has to be loyal to her previous addictions after all! XD) Now this is not a book about vampires really, but one of the main character is one, though not a conventional one. The myths have been discarded such as sleeping in coffins, not being able to stand in daylight, sleeping at day, living at night, etc... these vampires are much more different and I think that's what makes them so interesting. I mostly suck at sumarizing book so I'll do a pitiful attempt here, though like I said I'm only half way through it, and I haven't started New Moon, which is the second book of the serie, either. Bella is a young girl of about 17 years old, who always lived in sunny Phoenix, Arizona, with her mother, but who knows decides to move in with her father in cloudy and rainy Forks, Washington. She is worried about how she will fit in there, as she is convinced she doesn't actually fit anywhere. However, things doesn't seem to go that bad. She makes new friends quickly, including several admirers - which is very new to her as she never had any romance in her life - though there is one person who, on sight, seems to hate her, though she can't understand why. Edward Cullen, a guy that seems to dazzle every single person he lays eyes on not only by his remarkable beauty (which is shared by all his family members) but also by his strangely persuasive personality. Okay so that was a try lol I don't want to give too much either and I don't know half of the book still so yeah XD but seriously, I can already say this is an amazing book and really worth reading over and over again - I already plan on reading it for a second time before starting New Moon XD

Ooh...intriguing! You'll have to let us know how you enjoyed it when you finish the first (and/or the second) book - if you can pry yourself away, of course.
Hehe! I totally understand what you mean, though, when a book sucks you in. You just hafta keep reading, don't you? *lol*
Hmm, I'll look out for Twilight in my book club. 'Lissa.

I finished Twilight last night around 6 pm and then I started reading New Moon and finished it at 4 am this morning lol
And I only have one word
BRILLIANT!
I do prefer Twilight to New Moon though (started reading it again XD), but both books are really interesting. I don't really want to summarize New Moon though cause it can give away some stuff from Twilight XD
Eclipse, the third book of the serie, is coming out in August or September.. I so can't wait! And Stephenie Meyers is curently writing Midnight Sun, which is the same basical book as Twilight, but from Edward's point of view this time (the Twilight serie is Bella's point of view til now)

Hehe! If you read the second book in one night it must be good!!! Hmm, a change of view in the third, eh? If it doesn't give anything away, I'd love to hear from you if you find Edwards better than Bella's POV or not. 'Lissa

lol actually Midnight Sun is not the third book, it's a random book she's writing, not sure of publishing it either, though I hope she will. From what I read of the first chapter, it's not better than Bella's point of view, nor worse. It's as great and as interesting, and it's really different. It helps understand a couple of things as well.
