Do you think he's just a human or a Vampire?
I think he's a vampire. I can't remeber what episode but the vampires talk about the experiment. Merrill said something about this is the first time the elders are trying this or that someone has already don't this test and passed. And Murdoch had this look on his face like IT's Me!!
Well the whole conversation was that a vampire could be made back into a human, like look and act like a human and know one will know who they really are. Murdoch I think is why the Elders trust him so much is because he was once and still is a vampire. Like an Elder made him.
what do you think?

Personally I am gonna go with a Hybrid of Human and Vampire, because he seems ok to eat, go out in the day, we even see him walking outside and talking to Sherry at one point. It seems that maybe he was bitten by a vamp and thats why the elders know him but like Dillan posesses some vampire urges and such.

Just thought of this by watching "Loves Labours not lost"
You know how all the Vampire have some weird experiences. Like Karl getting the "Chill", Marty getting The “stirring” Merrill getting the "Quivering". Well Murdoch in the for mentioned episode is hearing thunder, Spiting out water and even water coming out from under him. Makes me think he is a vamp. Hmmm... A lot of different Idea's and evidence.

Hmm, thats a possibility...much detective work needs doing to do with Murdoch, methinks. I didn't think to associate the hearing/feeling things with vampirism. Could the "thunder" have been sent by his ghostly girlfriend (wife?) to get his attention? Which is why, if Murdoch were a vamp, half vamp or reformed vamp that only he heard it - Merrill is unaware of any sounds and she's right with Murdoch. 'Lissa.
