Ten Years of Vampire High what a good question, to me it makes me want get those big studio bosses realize what a truly fantastic story line is used in the show. The actors fit perfectly into their respective roles and help bring the whole story to an enticing magnetic show that you have to see. so it would be about time that we the fans find out what happens next don't you agree.I have now managed to see all the Vampire shows everyone are talking about and must admit some episodes I like but have noticed how they have all borrowed ideas from Vampire High but they miss that secret ingredient that is apparent in Vampire High, so I don't mind missing episodes and don't have that ultimate rush to make sure i don't miss anything.

Vampire High has that "Dark Shadows" Gothic Charm! You either have it or you don't. There is no in between.

There definitely needs to be a second season of this show. (Nobody here probably remembers "Welcome Back Kotter", so I won't go into detail comparing it to Vampire High, but in a way Murdoch is a "Dark Shadows" version of Mr. Kotter) You have to think outside the box. This is only my opinion.

It says Dawson's Creek meets Buffy, but I think it is Welcome Back Kotter meets Dark Shadows.

I am trying to figure out parts for Roger Daultry and Elvira to play. This is gonna take awhile. Maybe Elvira can be Essie's Vampire Fashion Consultant..........

Fred Williamson can partner up with ms. Hackett(My Goddess) and bring all the rogue vampires back to Mansbridge where they can become civilized. Roger Daultry can be their arch nemisis from the Fury. Alice Cooper can be a Pentacostal Minister that likes to snoop around. Meatloaf is local law enforcement. I know it might seem far-fetched. It's just an idea to make things more interesting! I would like to hear other people's ideas.

Does anybody else have any ideas? All the Rock Stars used to make appearances on Miami Vice and Highlander. It was good for ratings. I can sit here and talk about old rock bands all day. What about a Vampire High Yearbook? That would be cool! I would like a Vampire High T-shirt.(with the old power station on it at night-time)

Ten years later and VH is still going strong. It just goes to show that the good really do die young.

Wow, this is a tough question for no reason I can put my finger on. *frowns and thinks* Maybe its because Vampire High is still relevant that it still has a strong following 10 years down the line. Its maybe not as shiny as some of the newer shows but it doesn't need to be. It has heart and lots of it. Basically, its the little show that could, and did! I still look at Vampire High fondly if not as avidly as I once did. 'Lissa.

Fantasy, escapism. Used to love watching this back when I was a student and still do. Wish it carried on for a few more series. This show had, what so few have - charm. I miss Vampire High.

Some lovely responses guys, I keep trying to put my finger on why I do love the show as much as I do, but I can't seem to put it into words yet, the moment I do know I will place it here!

I can completely see where the creators of Twilight and Being Human got there ideas from Vampire High. They each took a bit of the story in different directions. Twilight of course went the human/vampire relationship, and all that it would entail. Being human went after the idea of being apart of the wash of normality of existence. Now you do have to give Bella some credit for figuring out what was really going on, where as Sherry never had a clue till it was too late. And Essie/Karl is totally Rosalie/Emmett. Now with being Human UK and US (and can't forget Becoming Human) even though now very different, took the idea of co-existence from isolation to out in the open. Vampires having jobs and relationships with humans, and other beings, instead of in a school. In twilight they have to adjust just a bit to include a human in the family (Charlie) but they remain seperated from the rest of the people even in the small town of Forks. Both dealt with the hierarchy of leadership not understanding their lifestyles. The vampires of VH have to mingle with others of their own, which I think only Drew wasn't used to, and always see humans seperated from them. Drew always wanted to be with the humans and despised being stuck down in the cellar with the others. Most likely due to him hanging on to what humanity he had left, possibly from being the oldest of the group. (Speculations) In an episode of Being Human UK Hal states that just trying is doing it. That their struggles are just the same as humans, there are just in a stranger context. They love, learn, grow, adapt, and lose. In Twilight there isn't any loss, and the reason for mingling is a joke. Carlisle didn't have to make his children go to school and yet still treat patients at a clinic. The story would have been more interesting if Edward had a partner already, and then decided to go for Bella. But alas no. Here's a good question; if Vampire High had continued into 3-5 more seasons, would either of those stories exsist? Or would they be labelled as plagerized?
