Hehe, I just found this news report and had to share it. news.uk.msn.com/odd-news/article.aspx?cp-documentid=15073031&ocid=todayAnd for those who cannot read the article (I don't know if its made for the UK only) here it is reproduced. Saturday, 14 March 2009 - Female 'vampire' dug upAn archaeological dig near Venice has unearthed the 16th-century remains of a woman with a brick stuck between her jaws - evidence, experts say, that she was believed to be a vampire. The unusual burial is thought to be the result of an ancient vampire-slaying ritual. It suggests the legend of the mythical bloodsucking creatures was tied to medieval ignorance of how diseases spread and what happens to bodies after death, experts said.

Yeah, I think that might have been the same case, Walter. Hmm, the original report has gone but I'm sure googling will turn it up somewhere. 'Lissa.

There was supposedly a field medic in World War 1 or 2 that got busted for drinking large amounts of blood. I read about it in a paperback book about "Real Monsters" that I bought in a used book store in the 1990's.

It was a paperback book written in the 1970's. I think it was called "Real Monsters". I bought it in a used book store on Catalina Island in like 1999.(I think a newer version of the book now exists)
