HBO have included a new vampire show as part of their fall line-up this year! Yaaaay! True Blood is based on a series of books (that I've not read actually...) called the 'Southern Vampire Mysteries' by Charlaine Harris and has been adapted by one of the people involved in Six Feet Under, Alan Ball. More info on the show is on wikipedia (as I don't know much about it, lol): en.wikipedia.org/wiki/True_BloodAnna Paquin is going to be in it as well! That should hopefully intrigue viewers and boost ratings...I reckon this will be one to watch ;D ...and on the subject of new US TV shows, Joss Whedon has got a new show coming out starring none other than Elisa Dushku! It's called 'Dollhouse' and, for some inexplicable reason, has been picked up by Fox...who we all know as complete you-know-whats, especially when you consider Firefly. Anyhoo, here's the wiki page for it: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dollhouse_%28TV_series%29It sounds absolutely fascinating, I really can't wait! P.S. For those of you that don't know already, it has been officially announced that a spin-off from Buffy all about Giles, 'Ripper', is in development as we speak and is expected to premiere on BBC this Summer

Hopefully - if it does well enough it will probably end up on Living, that's where all the good US shows get sent to these days!! ...no offence to those who watch the *other* US imports on Five

They might not pick it up though due to other vampire related shows failing. We need to hope!!!

There is no chance that Living won't pick this up! Its all the rage in the states and I know people that can't stand vamp shows and are completely addicted to this. It's won several awards and the critics are giving rave reviews. We've already had the first season and everyone seemed to have a fit when the show's second season wasn't going to come back on until this summer. Cross your fingers, but I think we might have a vamp show that actually sticks!

Yeah thinking about it Layla I am not sure why FX got this and not Living as they seem to like their supernatural shows and especially vampire shows. Hmmm could be something to look into that and try to find out why!
