Ooh, there are so many storylines to choose from that simply died away without trace! The ones I'm curious about are the Elders and the Fury, y'know? Their histories and how their war got to the point is has. That would have been a fascinating road to go down! Why ARE the Fury considered to be so different from the Elders and "normal" vampires? Simply more violent? Naw, there's got to have been something more than that to create the huge rift! Surely! And I'm totally with you about being curious of the histories of the vampires before they came to Mansbridge, too, Maidlola! Where were they made, where have they been, what have they done and how did they come to the attention of the Elders in the first place? And in that same vein ('scuse the pun! *lol*) what exactly are their powers? It seems each has one main power (except Karl who seem to have not developed any yet - youth has its price?) and at least one secondary power. It looks like they can master more powers as they go along. And what other powers are there to be had by vampires? Merrill is a mind reader, but she can also dreamslide and mimic voices. Drew can remote view as his main power and I'm guessing he's also an energy Vampire. (I say that based on Ep 19: "The Portait" where he reveals he can suck the life from living things by painting them - his 18th Century model... Marty's potted plant... Sherry! Hehe!) Other than that I'm stuck for his other powers. An obsession with mortals, perhaps? Essie can control minds as her primary power (it seems to be her strongest, but least used power) and also she can alter mortals' memories. Marty is a telekine and also has elements of remote viewing in his resume (See Ep 5: "Things That Go Vamp In The Night" where Marty is affected by The Stirring and tries to kill Sherry.... his messing with Sherry's Ouija Board from the basement is at least proof of some remote viewing talent, right? ) though not as strongly as Drew, perhaps. They never followed up on the premise in Ep 3: "In Your Dreams" (the one where Drew enters Sherry's dreams to let her know he loves her) that others would be able to piggyback into the dream-slidee's mind. More about Murdoch's backstory could have been revealed. Tantalising hints are all we have from the series....argh! Its frustrating not knowing, isn't it? *lol* Um, I'll think of other storylines too, soon, I'm sure. ;D 'Lissa.

I agree on the powers one. How do they get them, or they given them on purpose dependiong how strong a vampire they are or are they just "born again" with them randomly lol. Merril: we don't get a good chnce to see what merril can do with her powers more than once, i would of liked to have seen Merril reading all of the other vampire's minds secretly, hee...c'mon everyone would do that..maybe not Merril since she's so good..MOST of the time. Essie: She can wipe people's memories...i want that power LOL, we've seen that a couple of times were she had used it. Oh yes the fury...we know very little about them...just in the openiong titles, a war began and yadda yadda yadda...more information please lol . I also want to know why these 5 vampire's were chosen out of hundreds..maybe they all have met each other bar karl (since he's just been turned a vamp)..maybe not exactly met bumped into each other, not allof them though, maybe acouple met each other decades or hundreds ago and........something VERY frustrating lol...

Regarding the powers thing, Maidlola, it makes you wonder. When Patsy comes to take Merrill away, she says she taught Merrill to mind read. Maybe the vampire can choose the powers they have? Though quite why Drew would choose to drain the energy through painting when thats his passion is questionable. Or maybe the vampire inherits whatever power their maker has and needs training to use it. It could explain why Karl isn't even close to showing any kind of power yet. Now thats a scary thought considering the pain Patsy inflicted on the Mansbridge vampires when she couldn't get Merrill to leave with her. *grinz evilly* *sighs* Like you say, not enough information! Hey, thats a valid point! I never thought how they might have chosen only five for the project....unless Mansbridge isn't the only "rehab program" going on. *dramatic, suspenseful music* Actually, someone here mentioned that notion before, I think. But still, why these particular five vampires? I reckon Merrill thinks of it as an invasion of privacy to read minds. Like you say, she's a good girl. She only helped Drew with his dreamsliding ambition because Essie was telling her not to.....maybe she's a little bit rebellious afterall! *lol* There is one thing! At least with so much left unknown, fanfics can have pretty much any theory they like! *lol* Hmm...what other things should we have liked to know about? 'Lissa.

LOL at the suspensful music... , i'm loving the rehab thing too. I thought it was odd that drew drained powers from his paintings.... Maybe they were chosen becasue they all have compleytly different personalities and out looks.. so the elders can see if a range of different vampires can actually live amoung humans...so many possibilities. I also would of liked to have know more about Essie's Royal family, just think about were they live and how great their dinner parties would be...for vamps lol. Merril is a good girl....yes if i had that mind reading at first i;d be reading everyone's mind...but saying that i;d be quite scare dto read some people' mind slol

I am going to go with the dark side of Merrill. In the episode in which Merrill has a doppleganger at the end of the ep Murdoch is doing his usual speech as we zoom in on the vampires but they do not show Merrill. Then murdoch says "but who knows what evils I may have already created" then we zoom in on Merrill with some fab music and she is looking all spooky so from this I gather Merrill was going to go off the rails at some point!

Thats a good one, Scanjet! Its not actually said, in as many words, but its implied that Merrill's darker nature has had a taste of freedom and might want more. Hehe! Oh, the possibilities. Vampire High has enough information to show the world in which the characters live is layered and well-rounded, yet there are detail omitted which keep your thirst for more information whetted in a delicate and well kept balance. Ooh, hark at me in analytical mode! Right, what else can I analyse? *lol* 'Lissa.

I have noticed nearly every episode ends on something that could lead onto a bigger story when you think about it. I think they were going to develop them in the second series as was originally planned but never got there.

Well thinking of how they all get their individual powers wouldn't that be in relation to their makers, for instance when Merrill's maker arrived Patsy la Rue she could read minds so logically thinking when she turned Merrill she got the same powers. Using this thought you could go long way into having ideas about their makers. But what I think is also an underlying and crucial element in the program is Murdoch, my questions remain possibly Vampire ? maybe then who was his maker and how and when did he make it to be human is the experiment based on the fact if him being a Vampire who had made the transition back to mortal, but is he completely mortal. The questions keep building up that is why I love this series. At last some intelligent Vampire Show.
