WAKE UP EVERYONE!! *lolz* I wasn't sure where else to put this, but I thought it would make an interesting thread...where in the world would you most like to visit and why? I personally would love, more than anything, to visit Antarctica. A strange choice, I know! I would just love to see all the glaciers and the beautiful, ethereal scenery (as well as the cute little penguins lol) - to me it just seems like an adventure that's too good to pass up. Someday I hope to save up and go there on a kind of expedition/cruise ala YouTube's Matt Harding (FYI: if you haven't already, do check out the 'Where the hell is Matt?' video on YT - it's absolutely fantastic!!) and hopefully come back with some inspiration So hows about everyone else??

Ooh, thats a toughie, Mad! A great thread, but difficult to answer...for me at least. *lmao* I'l check out that video you've recommended in a minute, but for now..... I've always said that I wanted America to be my first trip abroad (but thats to visit friends as much as anything else) and I do stick by that - ooh, theres an admission for ya! Yup, I've never left the terra firma of the British Isles before, unless you count a short trip on the ferry across the Mersey. Eep! Scary thought in this day and age, eh? But I've been getting curious about other places recently, given my various research projects and all. - I love almost all mythology, so Greece would be a must at some point. Just to see some of the ancient sites.
- And Egypt, for the same reasons.
- And South America/Mexico for the Incan, Mayan and Aztec sites.
- Umm, Mauritius would be a great place to visit - dodo research ahoy, methinks!
- Similarly, Tasmania would also be on the list...for Thylacine research. Hehe!
- I'd love to go on a Safari, too. See the animals in their natural habitats - meet an elephant, or watch wild tigers doing what wild tigers do and that kind of thing. So, that makes Africa and/or India other possible destinations.
But which to choose as the place I'd most like to go? Ohhhh, too difficult by far! My mood today is leaning toward *eeny, meenie, miney, MO!* Mauritius. Hehe! That could all change tomorrow though - we women have a prerogative to change our minds, right? *lol* Okay, who's next?! 'Lissa.

I would love to go to most of those places too 'Lissa, without a doubt. As a kid I was always fascinated by Egyptian and Greek mythology, it would be brilliant to see them in the flesh as it were! I would love to do a cruise on the Nile really, that way you get to see the best of everything. Also, I think the old temple ruins at Angkor Wat look so interesting, all that old Eastern mythology would be cool to investigate lol. I too would love to see Japan vhfan, I'm absolutely dying to visit Tokyo and get the 'Japanese experience' hehe! What a jet setter you are though!! I've never been to half of those places...the furthest I've ever been is Cyprus Just to let you know Lissa, the first trip you have on a plane will be the scariest...muahaha! Mauritius looks so beautiful in all the brochures doesn't it? Hopefully I'll be able to coerce someone into marrying me and taking me on my honeymoon there hehe

*lmao* Or you could forget the expense of a wedding and just call it a honeymoon in Mauritius anyway. Heh! Yeah, I'm cheap! I know! Us myth-hunters might have to do the whole Nile cruise, Greek tour etc together! Twice the fun with two who are interested, right? *lol* Besides...if humans were meant to fly, we'd have been born with wings. 'Lissa.
